player games provide a competitive gaming experience by allowing student
users to play with other members of the Ruckus community.
-- Music Recommendation Engine -- Through a partnership with music
discovery provider Goombah, the new service will scan a user's music
library and point them to other tracks in Ruckus' massive library for

Notable Quotes:

-- "As our company grows, we continue to focus on serving the needs of
college students everywhere. We offer something no one else in the industry
can: the music, media and integrated social features college students
want -- legally and at no cost to students or to the universities," said
Mike Bebel, CEO of Ruckus Network, Inc. "Ruckus Network has been a pioneer
in the ad-supported music space since 2006, and we've repeatedly proven
that Ruckus is a critically acclaimed digital content discovery service for
what is arguably the most highly sought after demographic: the college
    student."
-- "The Ruckus service has been a key addition to our fight against
digital piracy, as it provides a comprehensive, reliable alternative to
illegal peer-to-peer networks. Ruckus gives students the content they want,
free of charge, while giving parents and the administration peace of mind
that students have access to legal downloads," said Kim Price, IS Security
and Compliance of Kent State. "We have already seen rapid adoption of the
service throughout our student body and anticipate continued success of the
    Ruckus service on our campus."
-- "From the second I downloaded Ruckus, I haven't stopped adding songs,"
said Joanna Childers, student at Duke University. "There is so much content
on there, it's ridiculous. I was pumped to see that a lot of lesser-known
bands I listen to had their stuff available on Ruckus, and with new
releases every week, I'm always able to get new albums the day they come
out. It has definitely made downloading music a whole lot easier."
