Rudolph and Sletten Completes Construction of Red Hawk Casino Ahead of Schedule

Pre-Construction Services and Expert Scheduling by Rudolph and Sletten Helped Bring California's Newest Indian Gaming Casino to Completion Ahead of Schedule

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - February 4, 2009) - Rudolph and Sletten, Inc. announced today that construction is complete on California's newest Indian gaming casino, Red Hawk Casino in Placerville, Calif. Red Hawk Casino is a 278,000 square foot full-service gaming facility with an 88,000 square foot gaming floor, 2,000 slot machines, 75 gaming tables, six restaurants and four bars.

Red Hawk Casino welcomed approximately 25,000 guests as it officially opened its doors to the public on December 17, 2008.

Rudolph and Sletten's pre-construction services and expert scheduling allowed for the earlier than expected finish. By finishing a few days early, the casino was allowed "back of house" access for various support departments, such as facilities, finance, surveillance and food and beverage, giving staff a head start preparing for opening night.

"Our company's focus on stellar pre-construction services that emphasize budgets and schedules lead to an earlier than expected completion date," said Howard N. Mills, Senior Project Manager for Rudolph and Sletten. "The Red Hawk Casino is a perfect example of how our preplanning efforts can greatly contribute to an excellent finish producing an incredible entertainment facility with the surrounding infrastructure needed to support it."

In addition, the project included major infrastructure improvements to the Rancheria and a 1.2 million square foot, eight story parking structure with 3,100 parking spaces.

"I could not be more pleased with the superior and fast work that Rudolph and Sletten provided the Red Hawk Casino," said Scott Holmes, Chairman of the Shingle Springs Tribal Gaming Authority. "They built a spectacular gaming facility in a rugged location without time delays or other surprises that normally can occur on such large projects."

Red Hawk Casino is owned by the Shingle Springs Tribal Gaming Authority, an instrumentality of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians and is managed by Lakes Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: LACO). The gaming facility is a three level braced steel frame structure built on a steep hillside location. The casino also has retail space and six full service restaurants, four casino bars, a childcare facility, and an arcade.

Rudolph and Sletten was selected for the project because of its experience in building California's Native Indian gaming and hospitality resorts, and its unique strategic partnership with the nation's largest builder of hotels and casinos, Perini Building Company, Inc. Rudolph and Sletten, a wholly owned subsidiary of Perini Corporation, is fast becoming a leading builder of Native American projects.
