Run for the Cure: The Alouettes' Player Wives Association Challenges the Other CFL Teams

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 16, 2005) - The Montreal Alouettes' Players' Wives Association will be participating actively in this year's Run for the Cure benefiting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The players' wives will be at the gates of Percival Molson Stadium for the next two home games (Thursday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m.) collecting donations from fans.

Under the leadership of Amber Brown, the wives have signed up a team for the Oct. 2 run and have hereby issued a challenge to the wives associations' of the eight other CFL teams. The day of the race, the Alouettes' wives will be amongst 170 000 men and women across the country running and walking the one or five kilometer course.
