Run of River Appoints Brian Hanson as Chief Operating Officer

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 4, 2007) -


Run of River Power Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ROR) ("Run of River" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Brian Hanson has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Company.

Brian Hanson has 28 years plus experience of diversified construction, operations, maintenance and upper management experience in power generation. He was instrumental in the development of and managed numerous energy generation facilities including the 51.8 MW Basin Creek peaking facility, the Hartland Landfill gas utilization project and the Vancouver landfill co-generation facility. Brian has held progressive positions with Maxim Power Corp. since June 2001, most recently as Vice President Operations, where his responsibilities included project development, operations, and maintenance planning.

In further news, outgoing CFO Michael Sweatman, has been appointed VP Business Development of Run of River. Michael was former President and CFO for the Yukon Energy Corporation where he managed hydro/thermal generation and transmission assets for the Yukon government owned utility.

Run of River Power Inc. operates a hydroelectric power generation station at Brandywine Creek, near Whistler, BC and sells the power to BC Hydro on a long-term 20 year contract.
