Rupert Continues Drilling in Red Lake

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 21, 2008) - Rupert Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:RUP) is pleased to report that drilling of the first daughter hole from the second mother hole on its 100% owned Gold Centre property will commence shortly. Rupert's drill program is testing the southeastern extension of the Main Red Lake Mine Structure. This structure hosts Goldcorp-Red Lake and Campbell Mine complexes. More than 90% of all the gold produced in the Red Lake District has come from deposits in deformation zones within Balmer Assemblage volcanics.

The second mother hole reached a final depth of 3,416 metres (11,207 feet). The bottom portion of Rupert's second mother hole encountered mafic volcanic rocks interpreted to be Balmer basalts within the same structural deformation zone as at the adjacent Goldcorp-Red Lake and Campbell Mine complexes. Low gold values were found in these rocks confirming their potential. The most significant intersection was 0.871 g/t gold over a 0.9m core length from 3300.1m to 3301.0m.

The new daughter hole has a planned length of about 1,400m from the mother hole cut off at 1,600m.

Don Moore, Rupert's Chairman, explains, "We are very pleased that we have been successful in intersecting gold values in the rock type that the program is targeting. We are starting this daughter hole to reflect our enhanced understanding of where the target structure may be found."

Mr. Richard Kowalski, P.Geo is the qualified person who is supervising the drill program and has reviewed the technical information contained in this news release on behalf of the Company.

Rupert owns 100% interest in a key property in the Red Lake District located on the major structure that controls the main gold production at the Goldcorp-Red Lake and Campbell complexes.
