Rupert Continues to Drill

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 26, 2006) - Rupert Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:RUP) is pleased to announce that it has started drilling the third daughter hole on its 100% owned Gold Centre property located adjacent to Goldcorp's Red Lake Mine. The new daughter hole was turned off the mother hole at 1668 meters and is targeting an area to the northwest and up plunge of the favourable mafic volcanic rocks encountered in the second daughter hole.

All assay results from the 20-meter mafic volcanic interval in the last daughter hole have been received with no significant gold values.

"We now know that Gold Centre has the same rock types, the same type of alteration and the same structure as neighbouring Goldcorp," states D. Neil Briggs, Rupert's President. "We haven't yet found gold but we have an ample treasury and now know where to focus our efforts. We are drilling right now and plan to keep drilling."

A series of deep mother holes are planned that, in conjunction with a series of daughter holes drilled from each mother hole, will test the favorable structure across Rupert's Gold Centre property in the planned $3.8 million program.

Mr. Richard Kowalski, P.Geo is the qualified person who is supervising the drill program and has reviewed the technical information contained in this news release on behalf of the Company.

Rupert owns 100% interest in a key property in the Red Lake District located on the major structure that controls the main gold production at Placer Dome's Campbell Mine and Goldcorp's Red Lake Mine.
