Russell 1000® and Russell 2000® Indexes: Growth and Dynamic Indexes Outperformed Defensive and Value Indexes YTD, Through January 31st

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Feb 1, 2012) - The Russell 1000® and Russell 2000® Growth and Dynamic Indexes have significantly outperformed their Value and Defensive counterparts year-to-date through January 31st, 2012.

The Russell 1000 and Russell 2000 Growth Indexes reflected returns of (+6.0%) and (+7.5%) respectively, while the Russell 1000 and Russell 2000 Value Indexes posted returns of (+3.8%) and (+6.7%) year-to-date through January 31.

The Russell 1000 and Russell 2000 Dynamic Indexes reflected returns of (+7.8%) and (+9.2%) respectively, while the Russell 1000 and Russell 2000 Defensive Indexes posted returns of (+2.4%) and (+5.2%) year-to-date through January 31.

In addition, the U.S. broad-market Russell 3000® Dynamic Index has reflected a return of (+7.9%) year-to-date, while its Defensive counterpart has returned (+2.6%) return, through January 31, 2012.
