Russell BRICS (Brazil, China, India, Russia, South Africa) Index Reflected a Loss of (-23.5%) Year-to-Date Through September 27, 2011

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Sep 30, 2011) - The Russell BRICS (Brazil, China, India, Russia, South Africa) Index reflected a loss of (-23.5%) year-to-date through September 27, 2011.

Three of the five constituents of the Russell BRICS Index, the Russell Brazil, Russell China & Russell India Index, have reflected losses larger than (-22%) year-to-date as of September 27th. The Russell India Index reflected the largest loss of (-25.3%) for the same time period while the Russell South Africa Index reflected the strongest returns (-15.8%) of the five.

Quarter-to-date, the Russell South Africa Index outperformed all others reflecting a loss of (-12.7%) through September 27 while the Russell Russia Index reflected the largest loss of (-25.6%).
