Russell Europe Indexes: Emerging Europe Outperforms Developed Europe YTD

LONDON--(Marketwire - November 12, 2010) -  The Russell Emerging Europe Index has reflected a gain of 9.8% thus far in the fourth quarter of 2010, outperforming the Russell Developed Europe Index (7.5%) through November 9, 2010. The trend continues year-to-date, as the Russell Emerging Europe Index has outperformed the Russell Developed Europe Index, reflecting returns of 21.3% and 12.5% respectively.

Growth stocks in the Russell Emerging Europe Index have dominated value stocks year-to-date, with the Russell Emerging Europe Growth Index (31.5%) showing more than twice the returns of Russell Emerging Europe Value Index (13.7%), through November 9, 2010. A similar trend is seen for the Russell Developed Europe Index, where, except for the third quarter of 2010, growth stocks (12.5%) have been consistently outperforming the value stocks (5.1%) year-to-date.
