Russell Global Index: Energy Outperformed in February 2011

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - March 1, 2011) - The Russell Global Index reflected a 2.9% gain for the month of February 2011, with three major constituent indexes outperforming the global index: the U.S. broad-market Russell 3000 Index (3.6%), Russell Developed Index (3.6%) and Russell Europe Index (3.2%).

All sectors of the Russell Global Index reflected positive returns for February 2011, led by energy (6.3%) and materials and processing (3.2%). Technology posted the lowest return in the index for the month, gaining 1.3%.
