Russell Global Indexes: Colombia, Chile Outperform in Latin America

TACOMA, WA--(Marketwire - September 20, 2010) -  Equity markets in Chile (31.3%) and Colombia (25.3%) have outperformed other markets in Latin America for the third quarter through September 17, 2010. Both countries also have outperformed year-to-date, reflecting gains of 38.5% for Chile and 45.1% for Colombia. These two markets pushed the Russell Latin America Index to a 16.1% gain for the third quarter through September 17, 2010 as well as a year-to-date increase of 6.4%.

The Russell Brazil Index has underperformed other countries in Latin America for the year-to-date period through September 17, 2010, posting a -0.1% loss.
