Russell Greater China Index: Large Caps Outperform YTD

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - October 20, 2010) - Despite a 20.1% surge for the small cap segment in the Russell Greater China Index during the third quarter of 2010, the Russell Greater China Large Cap Index (11.5%) has outperformed the Russell Greater China Small Cap Index (9.9%) year-to-date through October 18, 2010.

Returns for the first three quarters of 2010 show a tug-of-war between large caps and small caps in the Russell Greater China Index. Small caps outperformed large caps for the first and third quarters, while large caps outperformed for the second quarter. For the fourth quarter of 2010, the back-and-forth continues as large caps (3.1%) have outperformed small caps (1.4%) through October 18.
