Russell.com Offers Real-Time Global Index Data

TACOMA, WA--(Marketwire - April 17, 2009) - Russell Investments has expanded the availability of real-time index data on www.russell.com to include for the first time eight global benchmarks. The live data feed allows investors to keep close watch on eight global market segments: large cap, small cap, ex-U.S. large cap, ex-U.S. small cap as well as the value and growth style indexes reflecting the ex-U.S. small-cap and large-cap segments.

Total returns charts for these indexes are available at http://www.russell.com/indexes/default.asp. They offer one-week, one-month and one-year pictures of each segment, along with the day's and year-to-date's high and low points. Powered by financial information provider SIX Telekurs, the live data feed eventually will include additional global indexes.

"We believe our real-time global index data offers investors a clearer picture of global investing, allowing them a truly comprehensive, up-to-the-minute view of key market segments," said Ron Bundy, managing director for Russell Indexes at Russell Investments.

Real-time data also is available for seven leading U.S. benchmarks: The broad-market Russell 3000® Index, large-cap Russell 1000® Index, Russell 1000® Growth Index, Russell 1000® Value Index, small-cap Russell 2000® Index, Russell 2000® Growth Index and Russell 2000® Value Index.

Bundy noted that the Russell 1000 Growth is the world's leading style index, based on institutional assets benchmarked to it.

"Investors who rely on our industry-leading style methodology now have ongoing access to the full global picture in terms of value and growth investing," said Bundy.

Russell.com also features a user-friendly index returns calculator and a detailed summary of Russell's pioneering index construction and methodology.
