Russian Coffee Association Forms Cooperation With Modern Bakery Moscow 2014

From now on, Modern Bakery Moscow 2014 is collaborating with a further important trade association in Russia. The Russian Coffee Association is providing support to the leading trade fair for the bakery and confectionery market in Russia, taking place from 23 - 26 April 2014. Specialist presentations forming part of the supporting programme elaborate upon and discuss the growing significance and profitable use of coffee in the Russian market. In 2014, Modern Bakery Moscow celebrates 20 years since its launch.

Modern Bakery Moscow can base its operations upon a broad-based range of supporting organisations. For instance, this includes the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian Bakeries' Association, the Russian Ice Cream Association, the Russian Cereals and Mills Union, the Association of Candy Producers, the Union of Ingredient Producers, the International Industry Academy of Moscow, the Russian Academy for Agriculture and Confectionery, and the Moscow State University of Technology and Management; to this group is now added the Russian Coffee Association.

Coffee is very much an up-and-coming product in Russia. Today there are already more than 600 coffee houses in Moscow alone -- with the trend pointing to more growth. Over the last year, consumption also increased by 5 %, to one kilogram per head -- with this trend likewise continuing to point upward. "More and more, coffee is becoming an in-vogue topic in Russia. The figures speak for themselves. We as the organisers of Modern Bakery Moscow have recognised this development and are covering the topic of coffee from the exhibitors' standpoint and through the supporting programme," explains Bernd D.
