RWE Innogy Stops Stallingborough Biomass Project, an Industrial Info News Alert

GALWAY, IRELAND--(Marketwire - December 17, 2010) - Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) -- RWE Innogy, the renewables arm of German power giant RWE (PINKSHEETS:RWEOY) (Essen, Germany), has pulled the plug on one of its largest biomass power plant projects in the U.K. The company has confirmed that it has shelved the 65-megawatt (MW) grassroot biomass-fired power station in Stallingborough, Lincolnshire, although work on the project began more than two years ago.
