OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 13, 2014) - Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D) salute the newly established International Consensus Framework for Ethical Collaboration, launched today by five global healthcare organizations - International Alliance of Patients' Organizations (IAPO), International Council of Nurses (ICN), International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA), International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), and the World Medical Association (WMA).
Derived from the individual codes of ethical practice and health policy positions of the five supporting organizations, this framework encourages partnerships that aim to deliver greater patient benefits and support high quality patient care. As an active member of the IFPMA, Rx&D applauds and embraces this work and the opportunity to bring the Framework to life in Canada.
