S3 Enhances Leadership Team With Two Key Management Appointments

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Jul 15, 2015) - S3 ("the Company"), a financial services software company that provides customized solutions to monitor and analyze trade execution, today announced the appointment of Brian Sandlin as Senior Software Engineer as well as the promotion of Tobin Griser to Executive Vice President of Client Services, both effective immediately.

Demand for market structure analytics has increased tremendously as both industry and regulatory bodies look to define best execution in a highly fragmented electronic trading environment. As a developer of proprietary software that provides third-party verification and optimizes trade execution, S3 is intensely focused on the customized functionality and efficacy of its products, for both institutional and retail customers. In their new roles, Mr. Sandlin and Mr. Griser will position S3 for ongoing success by reinforcing both pillars of its offerings -- innovative trade monitoring software and unmatched client services.

In his new role as Senior Software Engineer, Mr. Sandlin will join the Software Development team in enhancing the Company's best execution monitoring products. Working directly with the Client Services team, he will assist in the creation of new software applications and the continued improvement of existing platforms, allowing customers to better manage the demands of today's market structure. Prior to joining S3, Mr. Sandlin held the post of Software Developer at Charles Schwab Corporation for 15 years. During his time there, he helped to build and manage the StreetSmart Edge Trading Software, Login Microsite, StreetSmart Pro Middleware and a variety of other software applications.

Mark Davies, CEO of S3, commented on today's news, "We continue to increase the number of innovative software tools for our clients and bringing Brian on board will most certainly further these initiatives. His deep experience and expertise in financial services software development will greatly enhance our unique tools, which in many cases are developed specifically for a client's needs. We pride ourselves on the proprietary software and level of service that we offer to customers, and Brian will be a valuable asset in both respects."

S3 has also promoted Tobin Griser, who has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, to Executive Vice President of Client Services. During his five-year tenure with the Company, its customer base, as well as the scope of customer services provided, have expanded significantly. Prior to S3, Mr. Griser served as a Risk Manager at Charles Schwab Corporation's Active Trader Division for Equities and Options.

Mr. Davies continued, "Tobin has been an invaluable member of our team for years and has been a driving force behind the expansion of our services as well as the growth of our company. Given today's fragmented market structure, a one size fits all solution to monitoring and analytics simply is not effective. Working with our clients to understand their specific needs and developing specialized solutions to support, whether they are for regulatory use or internal to determine best execution, is at the core of our business. Both Brian and Tobin will be key to the company as we continue to improve our trade monitoring software solutions, and move forward with business development efforts."
