SaaS Model Sees Growing Demand Overseas

On-Demand Software From Daptiv Appeals to Organizations Looking to Improve Collaboration and Work Management

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - August 10, 2009) - Daptiv, the on-demand leader in collaborative business software, announced strong international growth in 2009 for its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, with nearly 40 percent of new customer wins headquartered outside of the U.S. Demand hails primarily from Latin America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand and key growth industries include professional services and consulting, financial services and insurance and the communications, media and entertainment sector.

Currently, more than 20 percent of Daptiv's overall customer base is headquartered internationally, a growing percentage, as nearly 50 percent of Daptiv's second quarter new customers are based overseas. International customers cite Daptiv's affordable, flexible licensing model as a primary advantage of the SaaS model, as well as ease of use and configurability for managing the various types of work and projects throughout an organization. International customers include Interoute of the UK, Boursorama and LaPoste of France, Grupo Caliente and Katcon of Mexico, Transport Canada, FVW Mediengruppe and Badensolar of Germany, and Australia's Virgin Blue Airways, Frontline Systems and The University of Sydney.

"Our business depends on our engineers to continually develop new projects -- however, after creating product development technical centers we had little to no insight into how individual engineers fit into this process from a business perspective," said Miguel Amado, engineering manager at Katcon, a supplier to the automotive industry headquartered in Mexico. "With Daptiv we not only increased this visibility by 100 percent, we have also dramatically improved Katcon's ability to collaborate across multiple international offices. Our offices in Mexico, Luxembourg and Michigan are now able to easily share and work together on projects in an easier, more measurable way."

"Everyone, everywhere is feeling the pinch in this economy," said Christian Smith, Daptiv vice president of sales and marketing. "Daptiv's dedication to delivering solutions on-demand gives organizations the benefit of easily piloting a solution and then quickly scaling it up and rolling it out company-wide. Proven to pay back in less than two months, new customers can confidently streamline their processes and improve collaboration, whether their team is based in a single city, or is scattered across the globe."

Daptiv PPM has a globalized and localized user interface, as well as support for multiple languages, browsers and computing platforms. Application settings such as time zone, currency and date format can be set at the user level, across departments, or standardized for an entire organization so each user works in the environment that is most comfortable to them, allowing them to be most productive.
