SafeBoot Integrates Passfaces™ Authentication Solution Into Newest SafeBoot® Release, Version 5.1

Passfaces Technology Offers Token-Free Authentication Capabilities

OAK HILL, VA and NAPLES, FL--(Marketwire - June 7, 2007) - SafeBoot, vendor-of-choice for mobile data security and access control solutions and Passfaces Corporation, provider of bidirectional authentication solutions, today announced the availability of Passfaces technology in the latest SafeBoot product release, version 5.1. Passfaces, a SafeBoot Certified Token Partner, now provides SafeBoot customers with the ability to select an authentication solution that does not require a token, yet provides a second factor of authentication. Authentication occurs in pre-boot, and the combination of the two technologies provides secured data on PCs, laptops and mobile devices.

The integration of Passfaces provides an easy to use, intuitive authentication solution that requires no additional hardware or software. Passfaces' patented technology is based on cognometrics, which takes advantage of the brain's innate ability to recognize and recall human faces. When used with a simple password, Passfaces provides a second factor in a two-factor authentication process. This highly secure, mobile, adaptable solution uses existing password systems and runs on any Windows network or any Web-access environment.

"Passfaces is an attractive, SafeBoot Certified option for those customers who prefer not to use a hardware token -- it offers high-level authentication at a significantly lower cost," said Frank Jorissen, VP of international business development for SafeBoot. "Passfaces is convenient and easy to use."

SafeBoot solutions comprise an end-to-end data and device security solution across any enterprise. Since SafeBoot maintains partnerships with leading hardware and software developers, SafeBoot solutions are fully compatible with market-leading technologies and offer the most extensive data and device encryption, identity management, access control and total security coverage.

"By integrating Passfaces with SafeBoot's encryption capabilities, both network access and proprietary data remain secure even in the event of a PC, laptop or mobile device being lost or stolen. Passfaces provides a high level of security since they cannot be copied or shared," said Passfaces CEO Paul Barrett. "Passfaces provides an excellent alternative to tokens and other authentication solutions."
