Safelite AutoGlass® Launches iPhone and Android Apps for Easy Customer Accessibility

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwire - May 17, 2012) - Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation's largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, recently launched apps for iPhone and Android smartphones. Safelite® now has apps available to more than 80 percent of the smartphone market. According to Nielsen market research, more than 50 percent of all mobile phones in the United States are now smartphones.

Much like the website, the app provides customers with a simple way to assess damage and schedule an appointment. The app covers four types of damage: chipped windshield, cracked windshield, broken side window and broken rear window.

The app helps the customer assess the damage and find out what work needs to be done to fix the glass. The customer can find a Safelite AutoGlass® location by entering a city name or zip code or the app will use their current location and automatically provide with the details of the nearest Safelite® facility.
