Sage Communications Appoints Karen O'Shaughnessy as Vice President of Media Services

Media Research and Marketing Expert to Drive Strategy and Execution of Results-Oriented New Media and Traditional Advertising Campaigns

VIENNA, VA--(Marketwire - September 15, 2009) - Sage Communications, one of the fastest growing full-service marketing communications firms in Greater Washington, D.C. specializing in the technology, government and healthcare markets, today announced the appointment of Karen O'Shaughnessy to Vice President of its Media Services Division. Ms. O'Shaughnessy will oversee media research, strategy, planning and buying, as well as execution, measurement and analysis for print, broadcast, out-of-home and online advertising campaigns.

Ms. O'Shaughnessy will direct the media strategy and manage tactical implementation for all Sage clients, including the General Services Administration (GSA), ManTech International, AMERICAN SYSTEMS, and similar organizations.

With more than 15 years of professional experience, Ms. O'Shaughnessy has worked on a wide variety of integrated marketing and media planning campaigns for a diverse client base in varied industries. Most recently, she served as media director at The Bomstein Agency, where she managed all aspects of the media department including research, strategic planning and media buying using radio, television, print and online outlets. Her leadership ensured the accurate identification of and outreach to target audiences, tangibly increasing return on investment for clients.

Prior to The Bomstein Agency, Ms. O'Shaughnessy served as a marketing manager at The Advantage Group, creating mass marketing campaigns using advertising, direct marketing and e-mail campaigns to drive new customer engagements. Earlier in her career, she worked as a media buyer for McCann-Erickson Advertising, where she purchased and placed television and radio advertising for clients in the entertainment industry, including Sony Pictures Entertainment. Ms. O'Shaughnessy launched her professional career in advertising sales with Katz Television.

Ms. O'Shaughnessy holds a bachelor of arts degree from Mount Saint Mary's University.
