Sage North America Announces New Partner Program and Feature Updates for Sage One

NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwire - Aug 13, 2012) - Sage North America announced today a new partner program and features roadmap for Sage One, the company's multitenant SaaS solution for small businesses.

Launched in May, Sage One is a cloud-based service for small service businesses with up to nine employees. The new partner program for Sage One gives accountants and Sage partners the opportunity to be compensated for referrals of small businesses that subscribe to Sage One to manage their firms.

Sage also outlined planned updates for Sage One as part of the company's strategy to help small and midsized businesses (SMBs) in North America take advantage of mobile devices and the cloud to better manage their business processes. These updates, aimed at further simplifying business management for small businesses using Sage One, will roll out as they become available over the course of the next year.

"Entrepreneurs were closely involved in the initial development of Sage One, and now, as Sage One users, they're helping us identify the next great opportunities," said Connie Certusi, EVP Small Business Accounting with Sage North America. "As we add to Sage One, our focus will remain on providing a solution that is easy to use and one that simplifies the life of a small business owner."

Planned enhancements to Sage One include improvements around the payment process: integration with online payments and the ability to import transactions directly from users' bank accounts, thus reducing data entry, reducing the potential for errors and making reconciliation almost automatic.

Sage One already makes it easy to turn billable time into client invoices, but additional time and expense tracking and reporting tools will help small service businesses become more efficient and profitable. A new mobile application is also in the works for Sage One customers that will help them to more easily manage their business activities from outside the office.

Other significant new capabilities to be added to Sage One over the course of the next year will be designed to help small businesses automate more of their work and become more organized. Sage One customers can expect to see new integrations with other applications they currently use; additional reports and metrics to help them grow their business, tools for creating a more paperless office, and new ways to share and work with their accountant.
