Sage North America Appoints Himanshu Palsule as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product Strategy

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 19, 2012) - Sage North America announced today the appointment of Himanshu Palsule to the new role of Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product Strategy. Sage is a leading global provider of accounting, ERP and other business management applications and services for small and midsized businesses, with more than 6 million customers worldwide.

In his new role as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product Strategy Mr. Palsule is responsible for all product and technology development as well as guiding the overall product strategy for the Sage product and services portfolio in North America. In this role, he will focus on driving consistency and innovation across the portfolio to meet the growing needs of small and midsized businesses and increasing investments and focus in the areas of cloud computing and mobility. Mr. Palsule reports to Sage North America CEO Pascal Houillon.

Himanshu Palsule was previously EVP Strategy for Sage North America. In prior roles at Sage, Mr. Palsule was general manager of the Sage North America specialized solutions business and then the company's portfolio of ERP and CRM products. Mr. Palsule has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting and financial industry and has been a regular speaker at industry events. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in software engineering.
