Sage Payment Solutions SVP Robert Bertke to Share Mobile Payments and E-Payables Expertise at NAPCP's 12th Annual Commercial Card and Payment Conference

MCLEAN, VA--(Marketwire - Apr 11, 2011) - Sage Payment Solutions, the payments division for Sage North America and a multinational payment processor to more than 155,000 small and midsized businesses (SMBs) and organizations, today announced that Robert Bertke, senior vice president (SVP) of product management, will present education sessions on mobile payments and e-payables at this week's National Association of Purchasing Card Professionals' (NAPCP) 12th Annual Commercial Card and Payment Conference. Sage Payment Solutions will also demonstrate its payment processing services in booth #49 in the event's Exhibit Hall.

Bertke will present "Next Generation of Mobile Payments" on Tuesday, April 12 and "Supplier Friendly Approach to E-Payables" on Wednesday, April 13. He will also lead a roundtable discussion on mobile payments on April 12.

Bertke has been in the commercial payments and business-to-business electronic commerce industry for nearly 15 years. In 1995, he helped Wachovia Bank release its first commercial card products by creating a technology solution for card transaction GL (general ledger) coding and management information reporting. He left Wachovia in 1997 to join the American Express Technical Consulting team, where he was a member of the ANSI X12 committee developing card-specific EDI (electronic data interchange) transactions, and acted as product manager and technical consultant for key e-commerce initiatives.

In 2004, he joined Open Business Exchange (OB10) as a consultant to support the U.K. firms' entry into the U.S. market. Most recently, Bertke served as group vice president at SunTrust Banks, leading the technical implementation group and serving as product manager to bring a strategic technology solution to market.

Being held through April 14 at Paris Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, the Commercial Card and Payment Conference is the NAPCP's major annual event.
