ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - May 9, 2011) - Sage Payment Solutions, the payments division for Sage North America and a multinational payment processor to more than 155,000 small and midsized businesses (SMBs) and organizations, today announced Robert Bertke, senior vice president (SVP) of product management, will present an education session on mobile payments at FUSION 2011, being held this week at the Gaylord Palms Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando-Kissimmee, Fla. Sage Payment Solutions will also exhibit their payment processing products and services, including the Sage Exchange Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant payment processing platform, in booth #1311 on the event's trade show floor. FUSION is the premier event for accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), p-card, and payments.

Bertke will present "Session 1440: Getting 'Geeked' about mCommerce" this afternoon, May 9. Session attendees will learn about the ins and outs of the current mobile payments landscape from Bertke, a self-professed "mobile transactions geek."

Bertke has been in the commercial payments and business-to-business electronic commerce industry for nearly 15 years. In 1995, he helped Wachovia Bank release its first commercial card products by creating a technology solution for card transaction GL (general ledger) coding and management information reporting. In 1997, he joined the American Express Technical Consulting team, where he was a member of the ANSI X12 committee developing card-specific EDI (electronic data interchange) transactions, and acted as product manager and technical consultant for key e-commerce initiatives.

In 2004, Bertke joined Open Business Exchange (OB10) as a consultant to support the U.K. firms' entry into the U.S. market. Most recently, he served as group vice president at SunTrust Banks, leading the technical implementation group and serving as product manager to bring a strategic technology solution to market.
