Sage Software Announces Availability of New Document Management Application for Timberline Office Product Suite

Ease of Use, Fast Installation, and Lightning-Quick Searches Offer New Level of Integrated Document Control For Construction and Real Estate Firms

BEAVERTON, OR -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 25, 2005 -- Sage Software (formerly Best Software) announced today the availability of Document Management, a new Timberline Office application that offers fully integrated document control, including classification, storage, search, and retrieval. Timberline Office provides financial and operations software for construction and real estate professionals.

Owners, contractors, homebuilders, and real estate developers and managers are increasingly turning to an electronic means to handle the thousands of documents that flow through their businesses. In construction alone, some firms handle 30,000-plus documents monthly to track projects, purchases, materials, invoices, and labor costs.

Created specifically for small and medium-sized businesses, Document Management for Timberline Office offers an ease of installation, ease of use, and a low total cost of ownership (TCO) that is in line with other Timberline Office applications. Combined with readily available scanner technology (purchased separately), Document Management can handle paper-based documents, and documents created electronically.

    by document classifications, user-defined keywords, or multiple keywords.
--  Electronic notes and stamping features, similar to ink stamping,
    further improve document history without altering the document's original
--  A set-up wizard greatly simplifies the installation process, an
    important factor for firms with limited IT resources.
