Sage Software Announces New Integration of Sage Timberline Office Estimating for Existing Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 Customers

Furthering Sage Software's "Customers for Life" Initiative, New Link Saves Time, Reduces Errors for Existing Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 Customers

BEAVERTON, OR -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 30, 2005 -- Sage Software (formerly Best Software) announced today the availability of a new integration of the company's Sage Timberline Office Estimating for Sage MAS 90 ERP and Sage MAS 200 ERP construction customers. The interface enables current Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 customers to create construction project budgets using Sage Timberline Office Estimating and directly transfer that data into their Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 Job Cost module.

Ranked number one in selection for a dedicated estimating system among all types of contractors,* Sage Timberline Office Estimating offers multiple features that help deliver accurate budget detail. The estimating suite is also supported by a full range of separately available databases packed with thousands of ready-to-use standard industry items.

With the new interface, existing users can realize substantial benefit in time savings and error reduction by eliminating duplicate data entry when creating project budgets. With a few mouse clicks, current Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 customers can send their Sage Timberline Office estimate directly to their Job Cost module; jobs, cost codes, and cost types automatically synchronize between the two systems. From Job Cost, budget data flows to and from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchase Order, Timecard, Payroll, General Ledger, and other Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 modules.

The new interface also delivers on Sage Software's "Customers for Life" initiative. That initiative strives to offer small and midsized businesses the broadest possible selection of business applications and provides them a freedom of choice through easily integrated modules. As their businesses flourish, customers can select additional products -- all from the Sage Software family -- to handle more personnel, expand their sales, and meet growing reporting requirements.

Sage Software's integration initiative also includes these recent additions: Sage FAS Fixed Assets integration with Sage Timberline Office; Sage FAS Fixed Assets integration with Sage Accpac ERP; Sage TimeSheet integration with Sage MAS 500; Sage FAS Gov Fixed Assets management and Sage ABRA HRMS integration with Sage MIP Fund Accounting; Sage Payroll Services, with online payroll that can be run stand-alone or integrated with Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 accounting and Sage Abra HRMS.
