Sage Software Appoints Jessica Simmons to Vice President and General Manager for the Sage Abra HRMS Business

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 13, 2007 -- Sage Software today announced the
appointment of Jessica M. Simmons, SPHR, MBA, to vice president and general
manager for its Sage Abra HRMS business, reporting to Karl Grass, senior
vice president and general manager for the company's Specialized Business
Solutions. Most recently, Simmons was an Atlanta-based vice president in
the Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) division for Aon Consulting Worldwide,
a global business unit of Chicago-based Aon Corporation.
"Jessica's extensive executive-level experience and passion for HRMS
customers are an excellent match for the Sage Abra business," said Grass.
"Her proven track record in building and leading high-performance teams, as
well as her strong emphasis on results, will drive continued growth and
success for our HRMS solutions."
Simmons' responsibilities at Aon Consulting included helping to shape and
execute the HRO division's global mid-market strategy, developing new
business opportunities and alliances, and evaluating and recommending HRMS,
payroll, and benefits systems for clients.
She also previously served as vice president of sales at Tampa, Fla.-based
Advantec, a provider of outsourced human resources solutions; as regional
vice president of sales at Bradenton, Fla.-based Gevity, a publicly traded
provider of human resources solutions; and in a variety of other executive
roles.
Simmons holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA), with a
major in Finance, from Stetson University in Deland, Fla., and a master of
business administration (MBA) from the University of South Florida in
Tampa. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources
(SPHR), and is active in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Simmons will be based in Sage Software's St. Petersburg, Fla., office.
