Sage Software Recognized as One of Oregon's 100 Best Companies by Oregon Business Magazine

BEAVERTON, OR -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 6, 2007 -- Sage Software announced today that it has been named one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Oregon by Oregon Business magazine. The magazine's 100 Best Companies competition recognizes 50 large (with 250 or more employees) and 50 small companies for excellence in several categories, including benefits, compensation, work environment and career development.

A record 31,000 employees and 342 organizations participated in the 13th annual Oregon Business 100 Best survey. The rankings were determined through confidential employee surveys and a benefits report completed by a company representative.

Sage Software's Beaverton, Ore.-based campus, which specializes in construction and real estate software, has been on the large company list several times before under its previous name, Timberline Software. One of the oldest software firms in the state, Timberline Software was founded in 1971 and acquired by Sage Software in 2003. Sage Software's parent company, The Sage Group, plc. (LSE: SGE), reaches a global client base that numbers 5.2 million customers worldwide. It serves these businesses through more than 13,000 employees.

"We are proud to be recognized again as one of Oregon's best employers and proud to be part of the growing Sage organization," said John Geffel, Sage Software senior vice president and general manager, Construction and Real Estate Solutions. "Our great team of employees brings new ideas, fresh perspectives and solid experience; and this all adds up to superior value delivered to our customers."

"We aspire to be the most admired and respected business software and services provider in the world. Clearly awards such as this show we are moving in the right direction," Geffel said.

Joining Sage Software on the 100 Best list this year were several customers, including Reitmeier Mechanical and Yorke & Curtis.

The award is the latest in a long list of recent recognition for the construction and real estate solutions group. Last month, Sage Software received a prestigious "Vendor of the Year" award from Skanska USA Building Inc. In December, the Sage Software Beaverton support center achieved certification under the prestigious Support Center Practices (SCP) Certification program for the 6th straight year. SCP Certification quantifies the effectiveness of customer support based upon a stringent set of performance standards and represents best practices in the industry. Constructech magazine listed Sage Software a one of its Hottest Companies and Portland Monthly magazine named the firm one of the 20 Best Places to Work.

Sage Software has a growing portfolio of business management solutions specifically tailored for the construction and real estate industries. The portfolio is designed to provide support through the growth cycle of a business and includes Sage Timberline Office and Sage Master Builder.
