NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 30, 2015) - Elektra Records artist Saint Motel is set to perform their breakout hit "My Type" on NBC's "Today" on July 20th. The infectious track is the lead single from Atlantic's "PAPER TOWNS - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK," the musical companion to the eagerly awaited film from 20th Century Fox. The album arrives in stores and at all online retailers on July 10th; PAPER TOWNS opens in theaters nationwide on July 24th. The song is also the title track from the Los Angeles-based quartet's Elektra Records debut "MY TYPE" EP, which is available now at all DSPs. The performance on "Today" follows recent nationally televised appearances on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and CBS' "Late Late Show with James Corden."

Saint Motel will be supporting PAPER TOWNS with a pair of promotional events attended by cast members Cara Delevingne and Nat Wolff as well as author John Green (The Fault In Our Stars) leading up to the film's highly anticipated release. A live streaming event from the YouTube Space LA on Friday, July 17th event will celebrate the release of the film and soundtrack, where the band will perform alongside other artists from the soundtrack including Atlantic labelmate Vance Joy as well as the film's star Nat Wolff and his brother Alex Wolff. On July 23rd -- the eve of the film's July 24th release -- the band is slated to perform "My Type" at the exclusive "Night on the Towns" event that will be simulcast across select theaters nationwide in advance of special midnight screenings of the film.

Recently named a contender for "2015's Song of the Summer" in Entertainment Weekly, "My Type" has now topped Sirius/XM's AltNation "Alt18" chart for 7 consecutive weeks, after climbing to #8 on the Alternative radio chart. This week, the single climbs to #8 on the Triple A chart. "My Type" can be heard in a nationally televised Volkswagen commercial that is airing through the end of the year. Meanwhile, the "My Type" companion video -- directed by Saint Motel frontman A/J Jackson -- has drawn more than 6 million individual views at the band's official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/saintmotelvideo. A new video for the track -- also co-directed by Jackson and tied to the film and soundtrack -- was recently filmed and set to premiere in the coming weeks. In related news, a "My Type" remix package is available today at all DSPs. The collection is highlighted by four reinterpretations of the song by such renowned remixers as Eau Claire, Kraak & Smaak, SAINT WKND, and The Floozies.

Known for their brilliantly creative live shows, including a stand-out set on the main stage at this year's Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Saint Motel is in the midst of a busy summer touring schedule (see below itinerary). In addition to a full slate of headlining shows throughout July and August, including a stop at New York City's Bowery Ballroom (August 4th), the band will join the lineup of several radio-sponsored festivals highlighted by Channel 93.3's Big Gig 2015 in Denver, CO (July 11th), CD102.5's Summerfest in Columbus, OH (July 24th), Alternative Buffalo's Kerfuffle in Buffalo, NY (July 25th), Alt 98.7's Summer Camp in Los Angeles (August 8th), among others. September will see the band performing at such high profile music festivals as Philadelphia's Made In America (September 6th) and Las Vegas' Life Is Beautiful (September 27th). Saint Motel has also been tapped as main support for Walk The Moon in New York City (September 24th), San Francisco (October 26th), and Los Angeles (October 29th). For details, please log on to www.saintmotel.com.

Saint Motel came together in 2009 when A/J Jackson recruited fellow Southern California film student Aaron Sharp to join him in a new musical project. Bangkok-born bassist Dak and drummer Greg Erwin completed the group, which immediately attracted attention for their striking visual presentations and dynamic indie rock.

"VOYEUR," Saint Motel's independently released 2012 debut album, earned national attention and significant play on Alternative blogs and specialty radio. Further applause came from the band's increasingly inventive live performances, including such audio/visual extravaganzas as "The Kaleidoscopic Mind Explosion in 3D" and the annual Zombie Prom, as well as tours alongside Arctic Monkeys, Imagine Dragons, Ariel Pink, Band of Skulls, and Weezer.

Saint Motel is: A/J Jackson (vocals), Aaron Sharp (guitar), Dak (bass), and Greg Erwin (drums).

ABOUT PAPER TOWNS

Adapted from the award-winning bestseller by author John Green (The Fault in Our Stars), PAPER TOWNS is a coming-of-age story centering on Quentin (Nat Wolff) and his enigmatic neighbor Margo (Cara Delevingne), who loved mysteries so much she became one. After taking him on an all-night adventure through their hometown, Margo suddenly disappears, leaving behind cryptic clues for Quentin to decipher. The search leads Quentin and his quick-witted friends on an exhilarating adventure that is equal parts hilarious and moving. Ultimately, to track down Margo, Quentin must find a deeper understanding of true friendship -- and true love.

The film is directed by Jake Schreier, written by Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber (The Fault In Our Stars), based upon the book by John Green, and the producers are Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen (The Fault In Our Stars, The Maze Runner, Twilight).
