Salazar Intercepts 12.4 m @ 3.62 g/t Gold; 51.75 g/t Silver; 1.20% Copper and 4.54% Zinc at El Domo Anomaly, Curipamba Project, Ecuador

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 19, 2008) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) is pleased to announce drill results from the recently discovered El Domo anomaly, Las Naves Central area, at the Curipamba Project, Ecuador. The El Domo anomaly is located 800 metres north from El Gallo and 400 meters southwest from El Roble.

The El Domo anomaly was identified by the recent ground geophysics program at Las Naves. An induced polarization anomaly was identified between lines 5100N to 5500N with amplitudes consistent with very high chargeability and low resistivity values, which are characteristic of semi-massive to massive sulphide bodies (to view Figure 2 click here: Drill results presented below have confirmed the intersection of a newly discovered massive sulphide body. The anomaly is clearly observed in the data over an aerial extent 400 meters in length and 250 meters in width. It also appears to broaden at a depth of 120 meters.

The Company has planned a total of eight drill holes on the El Domo anomaly as a follow-up to this discovery hole. The anomaly is the thirteenth identified in an area approximately 2 km x 1 km.

Significant results from Drill Hole 39 include:

From To Length Au Ag Cu Pb Zn
Hole ID (m) (m) (m) (g/t) (g/t) (%) (%) (%)
CURI-08-039 117.00 129.37 12.37 3.62 51.75 1.19 0.15 4.54

and 126.78 129.37 2.59 9.17 69.86 2.59 0.32 6.43

Drill Hole 39 is located at coordinates 695116E and 9855272N, azimuth 295 degrees, -50 degrees dip and has a total depth of 260.6 meters.

Summary geology:

From 0 m to 118 m: Volcanic sediments stratified, weakly chloritized and partial silica alteration.

From 118 m to 132 m: Massive sulphide rich in chalcopyrite-sphalerite-pyrite with 50-80% sulphides; between 120m and 124m fault zone with volcanic sediments.

From 132 m to 169 m: Hydrothermal breccia with strong argillic alteration with disseminated pyrite (up to 20%).

From 169 m to 216 m and from 233 m to 260 m: Volcanic sediments.

From 216 m to 233 m: Rhyodacite.

"The recent discovery at the El Domo anomaly coupled with our ongoing geophysical and geochemical interpretation is helping the Company define, what we now believe, is a new VMS district within a regional epithermal vein system in western Ecuador," states Fredy Salazar, President and CEO. "We will follow-up on this discovery and the surrounding area with an aggressive and targeted drilling program to further define the extent of this body at depth."

Dr. Howard Lahti, P. Geo, the Qualified Person (QP) for the Company has reviewed this news release and is responsible for its accuracy.

Sample preparation was performed by BSI Inspectorate Lab Quito, Ecuador, using standard industry practices (Sample prep -32). Analytical work was carried out at the BSI Inspectorate Laboratory in Lima, Peru using fire assay methods for gold (Au-25 procedure). Standard samples, blanks and duplicate check samples were randomly inserted to the sample lot to ensure quality control.
