Salazar Resources Limited: Geological Mapping at Curipamba

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 30, 2007) - Salazar Resources Limited (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:SRL) is pleased to announce that Dr. Bernardo Beate has been retained as contractor to lead the Company's regional mapping program at Curipamba.

Dr. Beate is an independent consultant with 35 years of experience in geological mapping in volcanic terrains of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador for geothermal and mineral resources. Dr. Beate obtained his PHD from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 1981. His most recent assignments as an independent contractor include the British Geological Survey as well as international mining companies, both juniors and majors. Dr. Beate is also a part time professor at the Escuela Politecnica Nacional in Quito, Ecuador; and a member of the International Geothermal Association.

The Company has mobilized a team of 3 geologists who will be working with Dr. Beate to prepare a 1:25,000 scale map of the central and southern portion of the Company's 100% owned Curimpamba property. The study will provide the Company with a geological map, geological cut, a statigraphic column, and a thin lamina analysis. Based on the results it will be possible to rebuild the geological history of the area where the key (Gold, Silver, Copper and Zinc) anomalies of the project are located. The work has commenced and will be completed by May 2007.

Said Mr. Salazar, Company President and CEO, "This mapping program will greatly assist our ongoing work programs at Curipamba, where we already have defined drill targets, this work will assist us as we are planning our ongoing geological programs."
