Salazar Update on Mining Announcements in Ecuador

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 21, 2008) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) reports that on Friday, April 18, 2008, Ecuador's popular assembly approved a decree which has created uncertainty over the status of tenure to mining concessions in Ecuador. The Company is evaluating the impact of these new laws and at this point it is also unclear if any amendments will be made to these laws. Further news will be issued once the Company has additional information of how the new law will impact its holdings in Ecuador.

The Company, together with other exploration companies, plans to meet with government officials to seek clarification of this law and amendments to ensure that tenure to existing concessions is assured.
