RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwire - Nov 1, 2011) - Salem Web Network, the online division of Salem Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: SALM), the leading radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and family-themed content, today announced the relaunch of LightSource.com -- the premier provider of online ministry video.
"LightSource.com has experienced tremendous success and growth since its launch in 2006," said Tom Perrault, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Salem Web Network. "Since our goal is to continue providing the best digital platforms for connecting ministries with the Christian audience, we are always looking for ways to improve and enhance the experience. The new Lightsource is the next step in that process."
The redesigned features reflect both aesthetic enhancements and technological advancements. Easy to use site-wide navigation now includes new content areas including topical video categories and video podcasts. In addition, LightSource.com now provides more coverage and offerings from each ministry, such as articles, devotionals, and special offers on ministry books, CDs, DVDs and more. Meanwhile, one of the most vital new features to the site is a larger, more advanced video player.
The redesign also provides more visible homepage presence and topical video integration for more than 80 ministries currently featured on LightSource.com, including Kay Arthur, Joseph Prince, Sid Roth, Dr. David Jeremiah, Beth Moore, Joel Osteen and T.D. Jakes. In addition to the half a million visitors and 1.5 million pageview website audience, ministries will gain additional exposure and fan growth with the following release of Mobile LightSource.com.
"We really strived to merge an updated look & feel with top-grade video quality to provide our users (or audience) a better interaction with ministry content," said Julie Fleschner, Director of Ministry Brands at Salem Web Network. "In the few weeks since relaunch, we have been overwhelmed by positive feedback from both website visitors and ministry partners."
