Sales Compensation Management Webinar Offered Valuable Insights and Survey Results

Participants Emphasized Importance of Connecting Strategic Objectives With Compensation Plans

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2008) - Callidus Software Inc. (NASDAQ: CALD), the leader in Sales Performance Management (SPM), today announced the results of a survey conducted during a joint Webinar(1) with Ventana Research and Business Finance Magazine. 63.6% of the respondents to the poll survey said that their company "sometimes" connects its enterprise strategic objectives and compensation plans. Another 4.5% identified their company as not doing so "at all." Aligning business objectives with sales strategy to help companies drive revenue, profitability and achieve high ROI is one of they key benefits that Callidus Software's customers experience. In addition, the webinar survey discovered that 41.7% percent of the participants identified a "decentralized process" as the most significant obstacle undermining their company's sales compensation management efforts. Another 28.7% of respondents cited a lack of "understanding consequences" as the primary obstacle that kept their company from implementing SPM solutions. The Webinar, led by Rob Kugel, vice president of sales at Ventana Research, focused on the importance of Sales Compensation Management in today's highly competitive enterprising world. Kugel addressed how such solutions improve the processes for defining, assigning and managing incentives and compensation plans.

Finally, attendees of the webinar identified the primary driver behind their company's sales compensation management effort as "to improve economic value" (37.5%). This was followed closely by the goal to "increase resource utilization" (31.2%).
