Salon City Goes Green 365; Hollywood's Fashion Magazine Features Eco-Stars and Political Pundits in First Green Issue

BEVERLY HILLS, CA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2008) - Salon City, Inc. (OTCBB: SLON) announced that the latest issue of its flagship publication, Salon City, goes on sale starting today in over 30 countries. The June/July issue features "Eli Stone" co-star Natasha Henstridge on the cover, an interview with married political pundits James Carville and Mary Matalin and musical eco-leaders Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne -- all in its first environmentally-driven theme: Go Green 365. Also included are eco-centered stories about beauty, fashion, well-being, and other inspirations for a green lifestyle.

In his editorial column, publisher and editor in chief Steven Casciola stated that, "When it comes to the concept of 'green,' most people think of the obvious, external environmental issues that need addressing: the darkening of our skies, the graying of our waters, the decimation of our forests, the toxicity of our air. But the truth begins on a deeper, far more personal level."

He continued the column with a politically- and socially-inspired message: "Many people we talk to who are interested in the concept of 'green' forget that the greening of the world starts with the greening of the individual, of a person's inner nature. This is no easy task. The tendency of many is to focus on external elements, where we can more subjectively, and sometimes critically, observe what is right and wrong with the world. That way we can avoid looking within and taking on the challenge of greening our own souls. But beauty really is an inside job -- one that needs, and deserves, full attention."

Salon City chose to green its inner pages after the traditional Earth Day celebration in April. In so doing, it asserts the belief that living green is something done 24/7/365.

"It is my fervent hope that Mr. Obama, Mr. McCain, and others in the Democratic and Republican parties will embrace this notion of greening the soul as well as the world," said Casciola, expounding on his editorial. "Living 'clean-and-green' every day -- not just in response to a holiday -- applies to more than the manner in which we treat the earth: it is a guiding philosophy for change, for beauty, and for elevated social consciousness."

Casciola concluded with a positive vision for global well-being, "If we are to solve the problems and challenges of the greater external world that we share, then we must come together as world citizens and dare to think and act differently. We must take right action, and that involves profound respect for a clean, healthy inner life and outer world."
