Salon City, Inc. Introduces Next Phase of Salon Distributor Network

BEVERLY HILLS, CA--(Marketwire - October 22, 2009) - Ewire -- Salon City, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SALN) announced today that plans for the next phase of development of its Salon City Network (SCN) of independent distributors and salons have commenced through Beauty Entertainment magazine. The magazine has begun featuring top salons in key cities in the USA, which are being submitted by several leading distributors who are representing the network in markets that they serve. New markets being featured are Chicago, New Jersey, New York City and Baltimore.

Steven Casciola, President and CEO of Salon City, Inc., said, "BE! Magazine is giving us a unique opportunity to brand salons, distributors and sponsors in our new 'Radar' section of the publication. Distributors have positively received the new magazine as well as their opportunity to brand all three segments of the industry with our publication and Salon City's Network. From here, we plan to offer the salons a membership and licensing relationship that will begin to provide added support in marketing, education, branding and retailing of Salon City's products which will also include the magazine itself."

Casciola added, "We are receiving requests from distributors to sponsor additional markets and we intend to set the stage to generate more business by branding the salons that come onboard with SCN. When distributors brand and position salons in BE!, they will eventually be licensed to sell smaller portions of their space in our publication. Each distributor is then offered the opportunity to select top salons to involve them in the SCN program. The revenue both SCN and the distributors receive will cover their initial investment, leaving room for profit. Salon profits can increase also as the media exposure starts creating more demand and the number of salons working with Salon City increases."
