Sama Commences Second Phase Exploration Program at the Samapleu Nickel-Copper-PGM Project in Cote d'Ivoire

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 21, 2010) - Sama Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SME) ("Sama" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that as a result of its successful Phase I drill program, the second phase exploration has commenced at its Samapleu project in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa.

The logistics and drill platforms for the Phase II program are currently being put in place. The Phase II program is expected to be 52 diamonds drill holes for a total of approximately 9,000 m. Drilling is expected to commence on or about October 1, 2010. The drilling program is designed to initiate the definition of a National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101") compliant Mineral Resource by mid 2011 at the main Samapleu Nickel ("Ni") – Copper ("Cu") + Platinum group members ("PGM") deposit and to further delineate the mineral potential at the newly discovered zone called the Samapleu Extension 1. Drilling will also investigate several additional targets outlined by the geophysical program and by geological mapping.

"It is Sama's objective to proceed with a scoping study on the viability of an open-pit mining operation at the Samapleu main deposit and the newly discovered Extension1 zone, before the end of 2011. It is the intention of the Company and its partner, Société pour le Développement Minier de Côte d'Ivoire ("SODEMI"), a division of the Côte d'Ivoire government, to become the first poly-metallic producer in West Africa," stated Dr. Marc-Antoine Audet, President and CEO of the Company.

The remaining drill results from the Phase I drill program completed in July, 2010 are expected shortly and will be released when they are all received.

The Samapleu exploration license also hosts a significant amount of nickel-cobalt rich laterite material, known as the Sipilou South laterite deposit, located 5 km northwest of Samapleu main deposit. Laterite material grading between 1.2% to 2.04% Ni and 0.06% to 0.10% Co has been reported from previous work by SODEMI. A first stage laterite drilling program by the Company on an 800 m x 400 m grid will also be part of the current drilling Phase II program.

The Project is a joint venture among the Company's 100% owned subsidiary SAMA Nickel Corporation (66â…”%) and SODEMI (33â…“%).
