Sama Resources Acquires 1,212 Square Kilometres of Highly Prospective Properties in the Republic of Guinea, West Africa

Properties Contain Nickel, Copper and Platinum Group Elements With the Potential for Nickel-Cobalt-Scandium Rich Laterite

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 20, 2011) - Sama Resources Inc. ("Sama" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SME) is pleased to announce that it has obtained three licenses to explore 1,212 square kilometres of highly prospective properties in the Republic of Guinea, West Africa (the "Lola Project").

The Lola Project is 100% owned by the Company and is located in eastern Guinea, adjacent to Sama's Samapleu project, which is just across the border in Côte d'Ivoire. The Lola Project area includes the entire extension of the prospective geological environment of Sama's Samapleu poly-metallic deposit and Sama's world class nickel-cobalt-scandium laterite deposit in Côte d'Ivoire (referred to in the Company's news release dated December 8, 2010).

Preliminary field investigation has identified numerous prospective laterite occurrences. Please click the link below for a map showing the location of the Lola Project and the preliminary geological compilation:

The Company is very encouraged with the Lola Project's potential for deposits of nickel, copper, platinum group elements and nickel-cobalt-scandium-rich laterite, all of which Sama plans to actively explore simultaneously. Exploration models applied will be based on targeting deposits similar to Sama's Samapleu poly-metallic and nickel-laterite deposits across the border in Côte d'Ivoire. Regional geological information historically compiled by Guinea's geological survey has confirmed the mineral potential of the area and the indication of copper occurrences.

Exploration work at the Lola Project will start by mid-February. The initial exploration work will include digging exploratory man-made shafts on the more promising laterite plateaus, as well as conducting geological mapping and stream sediment sampling programs.

The Company's main focus continues to be its Samapleu project in Côte d'Ivoire. Sama's CEO just returned from Côte d'Ivoire where exploration and drilling continues as scheduled despite the political situation.
