Samyang Announces the 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC and 135mm T2.2 ED UMC Cine DS Lenses

Photography News: Samyang Introduces a New Manual Focus, Full-Frame Telephoto Prime for DSLRs and Mirrorless Cameras, as Well as a Dedicated Version for Cine Applications

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - January 12, 2015) - B&H Photo would like to share the announcement of the Samyang 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC: a mid-length, manual focus telephoto prime designed for full-frame DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. A truly versatile lens for portraiture and other mid-length imagery, this lens features an f/2.0 maximum aperture to help isolate subjects using selective focus techniques.

The optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element to minimize chromatic aberrations, and a UMC coating has been applied to control lens flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color accuracy. An inner focusing mechanism maintains the overall lens length during use, and a minimum focusing distance of 2.6' enables working with close-up subjects.

The Samyang 135mm f/2.0 is available for a variety of DSLR and mirrorless mounts, including Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K, Sony A, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Samsung NX, and Sony E.
