An Expanded Food and Wine Section Will Appear Three Days a Week

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 18, 2011) - Beginning Thursday, Aug. 18, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Bay Area's leading source of local news and advertising information, will expand to three days a week the food and wine content in its iPad app.

Every Thursday and Friday, users will find an additional section devoted to great cooking, dining and restaurant news. This includes reviews by The Chronicle's Restaurant Critic Michael Bauer, wine news and recommendations from Chronicle Wine Editor Jon Bonné, the latest dining scene from Inside Scoop Columnist Paolo Lucchesi and much more, including delicious recipes and mouth-watering photography.

The iPad newspaper app is an extension of The Chronicle's award-winning, in-depth coverage that readers have come to expect from the Bay Area's leading news source. Stories, features and photos are optimized for the iPad to give users a richer, more visually dynamic presentation of the daily news.
