San Francisco Schools Receive Samples of Petite Amie™ Cycle Kits™

Supporting Young Women's Health and Wellbeing

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - December 7, 2007) - Hygéia Personal Care Products, Inc., maker of the top rated Petite Amie Cycle Kits donates samples of its products to Bay Area middle and high schools through the San Francisco Wellness Initiative.

Cycle Kits provide everything a girl needs to get her through her period with confidence, comfort, style and all the right cool products. When girls start their periods, it can seem as if they suddenly have to be on guard for all sorts of things that could be awkward or embarrassing. One of the biggest fears girls have during puberty is the dreaded question, "What if I get my period at school?" Except for getting a period at home, school is probably one of the better places to have this happen. That's because most nurse's offices have a supply of feminine hygiene products on hand just for this type of emergency.

The San Francisco Wellness Initiative helps to address some of these what if...? scenarios. It's a collaborative effort to support adolescent health and wellness in fifteen public high schools and two middle schools. Established in response to the needs identified by a wide-scale youth survey, the initiative links students to a comprehensive array of physical and behavioral health services through both on-campus programming and community-based partnerships. With leadership from the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families (DCYF), Department of Public Health (DPH) and the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), the initiative is building on existing resources to improve the way government agencies, the school district and community-based organizations work together to address student health needs.

"We're pleased to be a part of this collaborative effort to help support young women in middle and high schools in San Francisco, especially at such a critical time during their lives," said Toyna J. Chin, founder and president of Hygéia Personal Care Products, Inc.
