San Jose Veterinarian Unleashes New Animal Hospital Website

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 26, 2012) - Dr. H.S. Grewal, a San Jose veterinarian who runs the Animal Medical Center San Jose, has just released a new website for the pet hospital. The new website contains information about the services available at the animal hospital, as well as a large library of articles on animal health, a video newsroom collection featuring short clips about several pet health topics ranging from cancer and parasite prevention to dog surgery and pet dental care. Dr. Grewal says that the new website also attempts to engage children by linking them to educational online games and activities.

Veterinarian Dr. Grewal says he is eager for people to visit the new San Jose animal hospital website. "We hope pet owners will find our website useful and informative. Of course, we have information there about our services like spay neuter and vaccinations, but the library and video section in particular contain a lot of specialized veterinary health information that families can dig into when they are concerned about a particular condition. Aside from providing great care for pets at our animal hospital, one of our major goals is educating people about how to prevent illness and injury for their pets. The information on the website can really help us accomplish that goal."

The "Veterinary Topics" menu on the left panel of every page on the website contains links to the articles and videos mentioned by the doctor, as well as a set of topics regarding how to choose the right pet for the family.

Dr. Grewal hopes families will try some of the new games and interactive features on the website also. For example, an interactive questionnaire on the lower right hand side of teach page called "Pet Selector" asks visitors a set of questions to help prospective pet owners figure out which type of pet might best suit their lifestyles and personalities.

Back under the "Veterinary Topics" section, the "Pets4Kids" menu option takes kids to online coloring pages, puzzles and games such as National Geographic Kids' virtual pet game called "Zipper". Dr. Grewal hopes this will be a fun way for the younger members of a pet's family to learn about proper pet care and responsible pet ownership.

The website also includes several features that Dr. Grewal says were designed to make visiting the pet hospital easier. Families can request appointments, print coupons and find a map with directions to the vet clinic. First time visitors can also download new patient forms and fill them out at home before coming in for an appointment. Dr. Grewal hopes this will streamline the paperwork process and give him and his staff more time to spend with their patients.

"We have also started a blog where we hope to engage our patients' families in discussions about pet health as another way we can all stay connected in the interest of keeping animals healthy and happy." The new website is located at
