Sanatana Updates 2005 Exploration Program

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 1, 2005) -

- 210,000 km airborne survey 70% complete

- Drilling targets identified for 2006

Sanatana Diamonds Inc (AIM:SAN)("Sanatana or the Company") the London AIM quoted diamond explorer operating in Canada, today announces an update on the 2005 Exploration Program currently being carried out over the Company's 20 million acre Mackenzie Diamond Project ("Project"). The Project is located north of Great Bear Lake and approximately 700 kilometers northwest of the town of Yellowknife, in the Northwest Territories of Canada

The 2005 Exploration Program consisted of two components namely Airborne Geophysical Surveys and a Field Exploration Program

Airborne Geophysical Surveys

The planned 210,000 line kilometer survey, one of the largest private airborne geophysical surveys to be carried out in North America in the last decade is about 70% complete. Using multiple aircraft the survey has been divided into two sections: North and South.

- Southern Area Survey. This airborne survey using 2 aircraft commenced in May 2005 and is approximately 80% complete. The contract to undertake this survey was awarded to Goldak Geophysical Surveys of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

- Northern Area Survey. This airborne survey using 2 aircraft commenced in July 2005 and is approximately 70% complete. The contract to undertake this survey was awarded to Firefly Aviation Inc of Calgary Alberta.

It is estimated that the airborne surveys should continue through to the end of November 2005, weather permitting

The ongoing interpretation of the available geophysical data collected from the airborne surveys has revealed several clusters of kimberlite pipe like magnetic anomalies, which in some cases lie close to areas where kimberlite indicator minerals were collected in Sanatana's 2004 and 2005 exploration programs.

Summer 2005 Field Exploration Program

A total of 2118 till samples were collected from closely spaced sample locations identified from the 2004 Field Exploration Program and from locations that were determined from the interpretation of geophysical data. These samples have been shipped to the Kennecott Diamond Laboratory in Thunder Bay, Ontario and the Vancouver Indicator Processing Laboratory in Vancouver, British Columbia for assessment.

Follow up low level closely spaced geophysical surveys have commenced using the Universal Wing "Drone Technology" in areas that have indicated potentially diamond bearing kimberlites. These unmanned drone geophysical surveys are assisting the Company to better define these potential kimberlitic areas.

The total budgeted expenditure for the 2005 Exploration Program is $7 million

Drill Targets

Sanatana has identified and continues to define a number of drill targets that are planned to be drilled starting in April /May 2006. Applications are being prepared for drilling permits for these drill targets.

Comment

By the end of 2005 Sanatana will have completed a number of intensive exploration programs (expenditure in total approximately $10 million) that should result in a significant development in the Company's understanding of the Mackenzie Diamond Project. This will lead to the next phase of exploration of drilling the potentially diamond bearing kimberlite targets identified through these exploration programs

The Sanatana exploration programs are carried out under the supervision of Sanatana's VP Exploration, Mr. Buddy Doyle. Mr. Doyle meets the qualified person requirements (as defined by National Instrument 43-101) with more than 25 years of experience in the gold and diamond exploration industry.
