Sandlot Connect From Sandlot Solutions Receives ONC-ACB Certification by Drummond Group

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - January 22, 2015) - Sandlot Solutions, a leading community health interoperability and analytics provider, today announced that Sandlot Connect has been tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. Sandlot Connect is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

"Receiving ONC-ACB certification by the Drummond Group demonstrates Sandlot's ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality products and solutions to our clients," says Derek Plansky, Senior Vice President, Product Management of Sandlot Solutions. "Attaining Meaningful Use 2 certification for reporting of public health measures removes a logistical burden of compliance with public health submission requirements from our clients. Core to Sandlot's goal of enabling data-driven healthcare is having the broadest set of interoperability use cases to further support our clients as they seek to leverage clinical data in their community."

Drummond Group's ONC-ACB certification program certifies that EHRs, and software that interacts with EHRs, meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology -- a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.

Sandlot Connect, which met the requirements for both inpatient and ambulatory modular EHR, is Sandlot's clinical interoperability platform that supports comprehensive community-wide data gathering and exchange.

"Leveraging information technology for healthcare initiatives provides the opportunity to deliver a high-level quality of care and efficiency which essentially benefits and enhances the overall patient experience," says Rik Drummond, CEO of the Drummond Group Inc. "We have been testing software for more than a decade and will continue to provide our extensive experience testing and certifying complex systems for multiple industries, as well as ensuring interoperability and security remain key components in the growing healthcare industry."

This Modular Ambulatory EHR and Modular Inpatient EHR certification is 2014 compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
