Sandvine Corporation: New Board Appointment

WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 7, 2006) - Sandvine Corporation (TSX:SVC)(AIM:SAND) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kenneth James Taylor to Sandvine's Board of Directors.

Mr. Taylor, 42, is currently the chief financial officer of March Networks Corporation and has more than 20 years of financial, administrative, and operational experience with various technology companies. Prior to his position with March Networks, Mr. Taylor served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer with Proshred Security International Inc., Mr. Taylor also spent nearly 10 years with Newbridge Networks Corp., and held the position of vice president finance when Newbridge was sold to Alcatel SA for US$7 billion in 2001.

Mr. Taylor is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Mr. Taylor has also been appointed to the position of chair of Sandvine's audit committee.
