Sangoma Cards Integrate With Paraxip's Windows® and Linux-Based Netborder Software Suite

NetBorder software suite and Sangoma hardware to offer robust and cost-effective solution for contact centers and unified communications markets

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 11, 2007) - Paraxip Technologies (www.paraxip.com), a leading developer of connectivity products that empower the deployment of IP telephony, now successfully integrates Sangoma telephony cards with NetBorder, its software-only connectivity suite for Windows® and Linux.

"Sangoma's robust PCI voice cards, known predominantly for their success in the Linux market, now combines easily with our unique software platform to provide comprehensive media gateway solutions at a fraction of the cost of currently available products," says Paraxip President and CEO Serge Forest. "Our bundled solution is expected to quickly become the industry-leading commercial offering for software-based media gateway solutions.

"We chose Sangoma's cards to integrate with our suite because of their reliability, impressive voice quality and compact form factor. The fact that the Sangoma cards use a common base design that supports all the different voice architectures helped simplify our software development," adds Forest.

According to David Mandelstam, Sangoma's President and CEO, "Paraxip brings specific expertise and targeted software solutions for the contact center and unified communications markets. This alliance will allow us to enter the emerging Windows®-based unified communications sectors by pairing the reliable connectivity of our cards with the well-supported, NetBorder software solution."

NetBorder is designed as a new enterprise product class and consists of a suite of software modules running on standard computing platforms and operating systems, such as Windows® and Linux. These modules combine to provide critical network connectivity, signalling harmonization, media processing, media conversion and call control scripting to integrate IP telephony applications seamlessly and to simplify and accelerate VoIP deployments. The Sangoma integration in NetBorder provides connectivity to existing telephone networks.

The Sangoma-enabled NetBorder Media Gateway solution will begin trials in September 2007 and is expected to be generally available in December 2007.
