Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa Announces 4th of July Festivities and Specials

FORT MYERS, FL--(Marketwired - Jun 19, 2014) - Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa invites guests to ring in Fourth of July with a weekend full of activities and restaurant specials at the acclaimed Fort Myers resort.

The festivities start Thursday, July 3^rd, with a Dive-In movie from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the Everglades Pool Deck. On Friday, July 4^th, guests are invited to cool off on the Palms Pool Deck waterslide and enjoy children's activities. For the more creative guests, there is the option to participate in arts and crafts from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM. In the afternoon, the hotel will host poolside activities and a watermelon eating contest alongside live entertainment from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. To cap off the night, guests are invited to Morning Beach for a Bon Fire and S'mores.

Saturday evening, the hotel hosts another popular Dive-In movie, an array of activities, and live entertainment from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. The fun continues the following day, with more arts and crafts, poolside excitement, and a Bon Fire, S'mores and movie to close out the weekend in celebratory style.

In addition to all of the hotel activities, the Fort Myers waterfront restaurant  Tarpon House will host holiday specials from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Guests are invited to savor an array of appetizer and entrée specials all weekend long. On Friday, guests can enjoy Beer Braised New Orleans BBQ Shrimp appetizers, while Saturday features Grilled Oysters with Garlic Butter and Parmesan. On Sunday guests can dig in to a half-slab BBQ ribs special.

Entrée specials at Tarpon House will include Bacon Wrapped Trout with Lobster Stuffing, Spicy BBQ Ribs with chips and coleslaw, and Etouffee with shrimp, crab, and soft shell crab Cajun stew over rice on Sunday.
