Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa Completes Three-Year Renovation

The Sanibel Island Resort Tops Off Its Renovation Project With the Introduction of Brand New Meeting and Event Space

FORT MYERS, FL--(Marketwired - Feb 25, 2015) -  Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa is poised to be placed among the largest Marriott properties for meetings and conventions in Southwest Florida, upon unveiling its brand new meeting and event facilities at the Fort Myers property.

The latest in renovations at the property, the new meeting spaces offer ample natural light, with windows that open up onto beautiful water and garden views. The spaces are modern and forward-thinking, with new layouts designed to help event planners tailor each venue to suit their specific needs. New artwork lines the walls and a new pre-function area with comfortable, contemporary furnishings welcomes attendees. Each venue has seen a top-to-bottom transformation and internet bandwidth in the meeting space has been increased to 100 megabits per second.

With the announcement of this latest milestone, the resort's three-year renovation project is complete and the staff welcomes guests to discover the many changes that have taken place at the property since. Each guestroom has been completely renovated, with new furniture, linens and luxury amenities. The hotel lobby now offers new check-in pods, and welcomes guests with beautiful new flooring, a sparkling chandelier and three flat-screens.

The outdoor spaces of the Fort Myers hotel have also seen grand changes. Lush, new landscaping, flowers and a new drive welcomes guests while the property's foot bridge has been completely re-built. The hotel pool deck offers new chairs, handicapped accessible pool lifts, and pontoon boats available for rent to explore local waters.

The resort's marina was re-planked and renovated, while the Sanibel Harbour Princess was taken out of the water, repaired and repainted. The resort's five Har-tru tennis courts were re-clayed for guests looking to spend some time out on the courts, while the resort's spa boasts new pedicure chairs, carpet, paint, artwork and vinyl.

Other changes over the course of the three-year project include new games in the game room, enhancements made to the porte-cochere, as well as extensive renovations to the hotel's Tarpon House Restaurant. The popular dining spot now sports new furnishings and lighting, new artwork, and flooring. Another dining option at the resort, Charley's Cabana Bar, also received new furnishings and outdoor space heaters.
