One of this year's featured designers is Saniya Khan who will be exhibiting her Fall/Winter Collection 05 on March 16, 2005 at 2:00pm. This year's prestigious event will be held at the fabulous and magnificent Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex - Artifacts Room. This will be Saniya Khan's premier debut as a Fashion Designer. She has previously showcased her accessories at Toronto Fashion Week Spring/Summer 05 Collections in September 2004. Her collection will attract those interested in the use of art form and fashion. She has excelled in creating modern clothing with an 'Eastern Flair' - a unique designing feature that is sure to catch the eye of the audience during her runway show.

In her collection, Saniya will feature a rare mix of materials; textured silks, sumptuous velvets, leather and a gathering of embellishments. Saniya who has been trained with a degree in textile design creates work that is a fusion of art and design together. It is her unique ability to create extraordinary textiles that is the masterpiece behind her designing success. Saniya's collection will capture those interested in appreciating art and its use in creative designing. Her collection will include designs that are ultra feminine to quilted, layered and sculpted - a sophisticated clothing line for the extraordinary woman. Her work will also exhibit three key elements: fine materials, rich palettes and soulful techniques which will be magnificently presented at her runway show.

Saniya Khan describes her collection in the following manner:

"Tranquil subtle tones are met with a gush of vibrant colour to paint this collection with a passion. The softest of grey and ecru blend into charcoal and indigo then change into poetic lilacs, oranges and copper tones."

Saniya's work has been exhibited and sold at art galleries and select fashion and outerwear luxury stores all across the USA, Canada, and UK (e.g. Holt Renfrew, Canada and Harrods, England). She has been part of the Heimtextile Exhibition, Germany. Her work has also gone into the private collections of former US First Lady, Hilary Clinton and the Late Princess Diana. Saniya has been recognized for her extraordinary talent and accomplishments to date by receiving the Women's Art Association of Canada Award in 2004.
